DESCRIPTION

Ingredients: Iron (iron bisglycinate), acerola cherry (Malpighia emarginata) powder, chlorella (Chlorella vulgaris) powder, nettle (Estonia, Urtica dioica) powder, glazing agent carnauba wax (3%).

Daily dose (from 12 years – 1 tablet 700 mg) includes 60 mg* of iron (iron bisglycinate) and 25 mg** of natural vitamin C.

Use Iron or Iron syrup for children <12 years (you can crush the Iron tablet if needed for children from 6 months age).

According to new research, absorption of iron from single dose is greater when iron is dosed every other day as a single dose. Dosing every other day is highly recommended also to people, who suffer from inflammatory bowel diseases.

    It is really unbelievable for me. I purchased a jar from Südameapteek and hoped that it does not give me any stomach problems. Just checked my results from digilugu.ee and my ferritin level has doubled and hb increased from 117 to 134! I also used B12 and this has also increased well. I used products from June to September and had no stomach problems. Would jump to the sky if possible. Will definitely purchase a new jar.

    Second pregnancy and now using Superiron. I am already on week 30 and couple of weeks ago hb was 116, before that is decreased shortly to 110. Now I take 1,5 pills instead of 1 pill daily. My midwife said that hb is soon back over 120. Even 1,5 pills daily did not cause constipation. Looks like a good supplement!

My good friend now got her ferritin and hb back up with Superiron (before that she had chronic anemia and ferritin was as low as 4 in August). Used Ferrum Lek and Spantone before Superiron, no effect. In August started using Superiron as I recommended (every second day) and checked her results- hb 141 and ferritin 64! 😀 Doctor did not believe the results 👍

    I have always had low hemoglobin and ferritin levels, sometimes less, sometimes close to the lower limit. I used and I am using also now Superiron (60mg) or Iron x2 during pregnancy and breastfeeding, sometimes (by accident) forget. During pregnancy, a month or two before giving birth I got my numbers even higher than the lower limit. I have now breastfed for 1 year and 2 months and hemoglobin was 122 and ferritin 36,9. This is a good win for me as I eat rarely meat and drink coffee and tea every day. I always use dairy daily. I think that without Nõgel´s Superiron my results would have been very low. When I feel tired and I have forgotten my pill, I start using and tiredness goes away. No side effects. No stomach problems and mood swings like one other iron supplement my midwife recommended caused. And I wasn´t the first one my midwife said. I am more than satisfied!

If you are worried about constipation with iron supplements, there is no risk with this supplement. Based on my own experience, I would recommend it.

    Very good product, I bought a jar from the pharmacy during pregnancy and got my iron levels back to normal with this product, plus I needed a short course after giving birth to get my levels back to normal. One jar lasts for a long time. Great product! While other products have taken longer to improve iron levels and have also caused stomach upsets, this product has not caused any.

    Iron from 6 to 19.2 and Hg from 104 to 122 in 1 month. I haven’t seen numbers like that in a long time. I’m very grateful that there is finally a product that works so well.     I am 7 months pregnant. I started taking super iron 2 months ago because my HB had dropped to 105. Otherwise, my HB was usually 140. The low HB affected me so much that I was always terribly tired. A month after taking the iron supplement, my HB dropped even more, to 102. That’s why I started taking 2 tablets a day, now 3 weeks ago. And finally, my HB has started to increase, the result is 115. I know that iron absorption takes time. Unfortunately, an unpleasant side effect is vitamin C, which gives me heartburn half an hour after taking the preparation. But without it, the iron would not be absorbed. There are no stomach problems. I continue to take super iron in double the amount and monitor how my blood tests change every month. The changes are positive.

    I was struggling with low ferritin and hemoglobin readings since August 2022. I started taking an iron supplement from another well-known company and took 2 packs of prescription iron. In three months, I managed to get hemoglobin from 71 to 78 and ferritin from 4.2 to 4.8. To be honest, I panicked and thought that I probably had some kind of particularly serious blood disease when I got such a result after three months of exemplary iron consumption and nutrition… My family doctor wanted to write a new prescription (he already mentioned intravenous iron administration) and I said that I wanted to try “Super Iron” first.     A few months ago, my corners of the mouth were really chapped. When I had a blood test, it turned out that my ferritin level was 5 and my hemoglobin was 90. Since I have taken various iron supplements throughout my life, all of which did not have a good effect on my digestion, I decided to start taking super iron on the recommendation of a friend. I take 120mg of it a day and within the first week, my corners of the mouth were healed and my digestion is fine. Really good product. I will give blood again soon, then I will see how much the iron level in my blood has increased 🙂.

    3 weeks is a very short time, especially during pregnancy, for retesting. During 2nd semester, hemoglobin makes the biggest drop and the lower limit for anemia also decreases then. However, iron should still be continued and hgb starts increasing with more time passed. During pregnancy this is a very normal situation that when administering iron and restesting hgb has decreased but when continuing with iron, hgb starts increasing.

    When ferritin decreases even when taking iron, you should consult with a doctor. It may be that there is a more serious problem related to iron. Iron is eliminated from our body by blood so there can be internal bleedling that causes the drop in ferritin.

    This is something we have seen quite a lot during pregnancy (hgb first drops and then starts to increase when iron is continued). As the blood volume increases during pregnancy and hgb drops the most during 2nd trimester, iron should not be discontinued. Hgb will start to increase after many weeks.

    Then you could try the stronger iron syrup, which has 50 mg iron per 15 ml. This includes only organic orange and pear juice concentrates, purified water and of course iron bisglycinate.

    When constipation occurs, it is usually straight after starting iron, usually during the first 2 weeks. This is the time when your body gets used to additional iron. We never get such great amounts of iron from food, so taking supplements is a totally different world. You should let your body get used to iron and sometimes you just have to think about ways to reduce constipation as iron problems cannot be sold without taking iron. It is recommended to take iron every second day if it affects your digestion too much. This can also help. But the greater the iron amounts, the greater the risks for constipation. With other iron salts (like sulfate but also trivalent iron salts), constipation and digestion problems are much more usual compared to chelated iron bisglycinate that we use.
