Vitamin C night cream includes several clinically tested active ingredients like tamarind polysaccharide, which offers instant moisturisation (immediate increase in skin moisture level +59,2%) – more effectve than hyaluronic acid.  It improves skin elasticity, reduces skin´s roughness (-27,6%), improves skin density (+7,6%) and reduces the activness of reduces the activeness of ß-galactose enzyme (-21%, used as an aging marker in the study). Day cream also includes hyaluronic acid and SOD, i.e. superoxide dismutase enzyme that protects us from superoxide radical. It reduces skin´s redness caused by UV light, neutralizes the superoxide radical, protects the skin from environmental stress, enhances the effect of sun protection products and fights against photo aging.

Night cream also includes innovative clinically tested ingredient that includes famous Lespedexa capitata plant extract. In 2017, the Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine was awarded for the discovery of the molecular mechanisms that control the circadian, or biological rhythm. The study showed that living organisms have an internal biological clock that helps predict and adapt to the daily rhythm. Stress, time difference, shift work, intense lifestyle and even exposure to electronic blue light from screen devices also disrupt the skin’s circadian rhythm. As a result, the skin gets tired. The extract in the night cream contains carlinoside and isoshaftoside, two flavonoids that are directly related to the regulation of the circadian rhythm and, most importantly, help protect the skin from the blue light coming from screens. It reduces the signs of skin fatigue, increases the cleansing process of the skin, offers protection against oxidative stress, inhibits oxidation in the skin caused by blue light, improves skin radiance and improves skin microcirculation. As a final ingredient, we want to highlight the clinically tested PHA acid with lactic acid bacteria. PHA acids, or polyhydroxy acids, are gentler acids and are also suitable for people with sensitive skin. The PHA acid used in the product is in the form of gluconic acid, which activates collagen formation and cell renewal. Cell renewal is beneficial for a visible improvement in skin tone and contributes to the skin’s function as a protective barrier against harmful chemicals and the environment that can cause premature aging. Along with cell renewal, PHAs such as gluconic acid are able to increase collagen production. Exfoliation stimulates skin fibroblasts to produce collagen. This process helps generate new skin cells more efficiently.

Vitamin C

WHY VITAMIN C?

Vitamin C is one of the most favourite vitamins for dermatologists and for a reason! Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant, which reduces the impact of free radicals causing oxidative stress that our skin faces every day such as pollution. These free radicals damage our skin and cause premature aging. Vitamin C is mainly used in skin care to clarify and even skin tone, reduce pigmentation, as an anti-age ingredient and to reduce imperfections (pimples, acne).

We use Ecocert certified vitamin C stabilized form, ascorbyl glucoside, which is much gentler to your skin compared to other L-ascorbic acid forms. Ascorbyl glucoside is the best performing vitamin C form in clinical studies that has all three properties common to vitamin C: antioxidant and protection of free radicals, increase in collagen production, decrease in pigmentation. Unlike oil-soluble ascorbyl palmitate in case it was found in in-vitro studies that it may be even harmful in case contact with sun UVB rays occurs and which did not change to pure vitamin C when in contact with skin (did not rise the concentration of pure vitamin C in skin), in-vitro studies have found that ascorbyl glucoside is absorbed via skin and changes to pure vitamin C – the good properties come from here.

VITAMIN C

  • is a strong antioxidant that protects our skin from signs of premature aging
  • reduces fine lines and wrinkles
  • is essential for collagen production
  • reduces skin imperfections (acne)
  • reduces pigmentation
  • evens and brightens skin tone

How to use

Vitamin C night cream is suitable for all skin types for younger and mature skin for daily use. Night cream is especially suitable for 25+ skin and also for problematic skin. Product is oil-free and does not clog pores.

Apply thin layer of night cream (press pump 1-2 times) to face and cleavage. As the product contains hyaluronic acid, we recommend tapping some water on the face to get the maximum benefit. Before night cream use vitamin C facial serum for best results. Use sun protection before going out to the sun.

Vitamin C collection includes also vitamin C moisturizing day cream, eye cream and awarded vitamin C facial serum with Estonian nettle extract – all clinically and dermatologically tested and developed in cooperation with Tallinn University.

Store the bottle in an upright position. If the bottle has been on its side during travel, wait 5 minutes before using the cream. The airless bottle works optimally when stored upright.

Clinical tests

During clinical trials, we analyzed the transepidermal water loss (TEWL) of test subjects and determined the level of hydration/moisture of the skin surface (Stratum corneum). In addition, a dermatologist performed a dermatological examination at the beginning of the study and 2 months after using the creams.

Results of clinical studies of the eye, day and night cream after two months´ use:
• the moisture content of the skin surface of the cheeks and under the eyes increased during the use of the creams
• skin elasticity improved
• the oiliness and structure of the skin was more uniform
• the creams reduced superficial wrinkles, the skin was tighter and smoother
• scaling of the skin in one subject had resolved
• fine capillary dilatations on the cheeks of one subject became lighter
• the acne rash that occurred in one subject was more superficial and there were fewer foci on the cheeks
• acne pigmented residual spots on the chin, which occurred in one subject, were lighter and had fewer foci
inflammatory
• papules and spots, which were present in one subject, were less on the cheeks
In summary, it can be said that during the two-month period, the skin hydration of the test subjects improved. Dryness, roughness and flaking of the skin receded, the skin structure became smoother and more even, and the skin became tighter. It was also noticeable that fine wrinkles became more superficial, spots became lighter, acne breakouts decreased and became less inflamed.
